Signature · Highlights
Highlights are the classic of classics—foil-isolated streaks that build crisp contrast and dimension. From delicate Korean ribbons to bold Western chunks, our Hong Kong highlights are designed to flatter your face shape and pair beautifully with balayage.
Three Approaches

Six to twelve fine streaks frame the face—instantly brightening skin tone and softening contour. The perfect first step into colour.

Top and sides receive designed dimension while leaving the back natural—ideal for keeping roots low-key.

Full-head streaks for maximum dimension—often paired with toning to achieve cool ash, smoky brunette and other elevated palettes.
The Craft
At Canvas Blend, the value of highlights lies not in how light you go—it’s in the placement and angle of each streak. Where a streak begins, how wide it is, how far from the next—every choice shapes the final balance. We design every streak around your density, hair flow and even how you tie up your hair.
We use the thinnest foils and low-volume developer alongside Olaplex bond protection. For clients who’ve experienced uneven highlights at chain salons, we specialise in correcting old work—either with finer secondary highlights or toner neutralisation to soften the overall look.

Aftercare
For seven days after Hong Kong highlights the colour is still settling inside the cuticle. Switching to a sulphate-free, low-pH purple shampoo can extend tone retention by 30% or more, holding back the brassy yellow shift.
Highlights require lifting, which breaks some keratin bonds. A weekly Olaplex No.3 mask rebuilds those bonds so strands stay smooth and ready for your next visit.
Hong Kong sunlight and pool chlorine quietly oxidise highlight pigment, pulling the streaks toward yellow. A daily UV-protect mist is the simplest way to extend the life of your highlights.
