Babylight is a finer, denser take on highlights, inspired by the way the sun naturally weaves light into a child’s hair—soft, almost imperceptible, glowing from afar yet revealing countless fine threads up close. It’s our most natural-looking colour service, ideal for those who avoid harsh contrast.
The Technique
What is babylight?
Babylight is defined by its fineness and density. While conventional highlights enclose 1–2 cm sections per foil, babylight isolates only 0.3–0.5 cm strands per foil. A full session often involves over 100 ultra-fine sections to achieve a continuous, glowing haze.
Because each section is so fine, babylight stretches comfortably to 4–6 months between touch-ups—one of the longest-lasting designer techniques. Regrowth blends naturally because the original contrast is so subtle, making it a favourite among working professionals on Hong Kong Island.
Our protocol blends hand-painting with foil isolation, finished by a full toner pass to neutralise any unwanted yellow or orange. You leave with the sun-kissed glow already perfected, no further fading needed.
